To protect the integrity of the Olympic Sports

International Sports Monitoring GmbH (ISM) was founded in 2009 on behalf of the IOC to protect the integrity of the Olympic Sports. ISM is monitoring the betting activities on the future Olympic Games, namely in Vancouver and London to prevent sports betting having any negative impact on these events.

An increasingly wide range of sports bets is available and according to new technical developments, sports betting has a growing influence on sports. Following the success of the efforts during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) wishes to continue and improve the monitoring of betting activities and has entrusted ISM to take care of this matter. ISM is a neutral company based in Meilen, Switzerland, with the objective to protect the integrity of Olympic Sports.

Any suspicious or irregular betting activities will be reported to the IOC which will prosecute the case following the rules and regulations of the Olympic Charter.
